The 2015 Live for the Cause Gala, held on October 24, 2015 at Sid Lee's 8 Queen location, raised $34,000 for Cancer Awareness and Education in Montreal. The money raised was donated to Myeloma Canada and the MUHC Patient Education Office, applied directly towards Myeloma Canada's phase 2 experimental drug clinical trials at our local MUHC and Maisonneuve-Rosemont hospitals, and the next stage of development in the MUHC Patient Education Office, in Hematology Oncology.

Live for the Cause would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and guests for their contribution towards the 2015 Gala. We would like to highlight that our success is measured not only by the amount raised, but also by our ability to create a culture that allows our guests to become engaged in philanthropy. A special thank you to our amazing co-hosts, Cousin Vinny and Kim Sullivan of the Beat 92.5, and our outstanding performers including, dancer Luca "Lazylegz" Patuelli, singer Patrick Lehman, and Montreal calisthenic and fitness crew Tribarta.

Live for the Cause is a foundation that is fuelled by love, compassion, and the obligation we feel to give back to those in need in our community. Behind this foundation is a group of young, motivated, and dedicated individuals who have committed themselves to enhancing the lives of others.

I was very impressed with the high quality of the event in terms of organization , attendance, entertainment but first and foremost its philanthropic content. Everyone visibly had an excellent time but you could also feel a very real buzz and excitement amongst all the guests about being involved in supporting a great cause and helping others. Your organization has obviously done a super job in sensitizing/involving the younger generation in philanthropy.

It’s so heartening when we see a community coming together to support a cause, and Saturday was such an amazing evening! The night was much more than a fundraising event. Your idea of having people visit each station gave us an opportunity to talk to a great number of those and raise awareness about myeloma.
